Are you a stroller-addicted mama? In reading pregnancy and parenting message boards online, strollers are a hot topic! Would you believe that some moms have up to 5 different strollers, and it’s not at all uncommon? Why the need for that many, I wonder? Is it because they are continually searching for a better model than what they have, or is it that they use different strollers to suit different needs? With my first, I had two strollers – one that easily fit the infant carseat I had, and a second one, a jogging stroller, for when he was a bit older.
The Britax B-Ready stroller is helping moms avoid the trap of having to buy several strollers just to get through the first few years with a baby (or, how to adapt to having another baby close in age!) With 14 different combinations using the large selection of Britax Accessories available for this stroller, there’s no reason to need anything beyond the Britax B-Ready (cool, right?!) When I had the opportunity to check out the B-Ready in anticipation of Baby #3’s arrival, I knew exactly what combo I wanted to see! The Britax B-Ready is an awesome stroller on it’s own, but with the B-Ready Bassinet the stroller can be used right from birth! I really wanted a bassinet-style stroller but, of course, felt silly buying a stroller like that for such a short time period. That’s why the accessories from Britax are so fabulous – one snap (it literally snaps in!) and you’ve got a whole different style of stroller to use.
The first thing I noticed after my hubby put the stroller together for the first time (admittedly easy and probably something I could have attempted but why change tradition), is that the seat of this stroller is higher than any other I’d seen. I’m 5’7″ and I took this picture to demonstrate how high the seat is (if you’re wondering why there’s no smiling face in the picture, I’m in sweats…which means the rest of matches the look…it wasn’t pretty.)
I’m already loving how easy it is to bend to access the seat of this stroller – no more aching back hauling baby in and out, and now once baby is a toddler they will be able to see everything from a much better higher point than their friends (consider it the monster truck of strollers, looking at the other kids from a higher vantage point on the street!)
Seen above, this is what you get right out of the box – a forward and rear facing seat (yes, it takes just a second to un-clip it and flip it around and then click it in again!) that has three positions for reclining or seeing the world go by. Reclining the seat was simple (ever notice how annoyingly complicated something so basic is on some models?) and it’s a smooth motion (important when reclining a child that is already sleeping when you want them to stay that way!) The foot-rest is also adjustable which is a nice touch, I’ve never had that in a stroller before either.
But ohhhh how much I love this B-Ready Bassinete! Available to match your stroller in red, green, silver, or black, the bassinete is simply perfect in every way – there’s nothing I would change!
The B-Ready Bassinete features a soft fabric strap for added security when baby is placed inside, and the cover is completely removable so you are not limited on how warm/cool you want baby to be in there. The canopy is also multi-positioned so you can move it as needed to keep sun and wind away from baby. The B-Ready Basinette is sold for $149.99, much less than buying a top of the line second stroller to have that classic basinette look.
I truly am in love with this stroller, which says a lot when you consider that the intended person enjoying this posh ride is still inside my belly! Moms everywhere have been raving about the Britax B-Ready Stroller and now I know why. From birth, through toddler-hood, and even through having another sibling with the B-Ready Second Seat, the Britax B-Ready is the only stroller a mama needs.
At $499.99 US ($529.99 CDN), the Britax B-Ready is a stroller-commitment. I paid $350 for my first stroller with very few options and certainly looking nothing like the Britax B-Ready and definitely not at the same quality. I then paid another $250 for a cheap jogging stroller, again with limited options and no product quality. I’d suggest to any first-time mom that the Britax B-Ready is the way to go – you will be happy right from the start and can add on different accessories as needed. Even moms of 1+, sell your old stroller second-hand like I did and move on up to the Britax B-Ready! Gift it to yourself this holiday season, or if a group (office, family members, etc.) are looking for a gift to pitch-in for that will be far more worthwhile than a swing or other baby item that will only last a few months, this is the way to go!
