Pedoodles

I love this tag-line from Pedoodles! The shoes from this company are not only very fun for children to wear (none of these shoes look “just like dad’s” like other shoe companies have) but they’re also made with extra attention going to the development of children’s feet. It’s quite interesting to note that only a very small percentage of the world’s population is born with foot problems – the rest occur throughout life as we grow. Why, then, are we not making sure our feet are well taken care of from the very beginning? Thankfully, many parents today are. Certainly more attention is paid to foot development and proper footwear for children than even 10 years ago but definitely more than when we were all growing up.

Given the opportunity to review a new pair of shoes from Pedoodles, I picked these Purple Smoothie shoes for Spring for my daughter. Love the lilac color! Made with eco-friendly premium leather, the products used are also safety tested for children ahead of time as well. These shoes would be ideal for children with wider feet as the toe area is generous and the velcro strap ensures a perfect adjustable fit.

When I was looking for new shoes from Pedoodles, these were not on the site yet but had they been I would have picked them as my first choice! We are having the hardest time finding new winter boots for my 2 year old – many are the same price as these Pretty In Pink boots from Pedoodles at $44 but the ones we’ve seen in stores don’t offer any additional support for children’s foot development which is important to me.

Shoes at Pedoodles are sized according to age with the biggest styles fitting children up to 4 years old. My son is too old to fit shoes from Pedoodles but if he was younger, The Trailblazer shoe would have been a definite pick for us. The shoes feature a great blend of colors that matches boy’s clothing well (all those cute little corduroy pants, khaki’s and overalls, awe!)
