Kodak

Kodak is embarking on a really fun tour right now in the US. They are traveling to different US locations on their Save $110 Tour, showing American families just how easy it is to save an average of $110 a year in Ink Jet Cartridge purchases using Kodak printers.

Printer cartridges are one thing I dread buying. I don’t think I’ve used a color cartridge in more than a year because it’s just one more expense so I use the boring black ink cartridges and print sparingly. Isn’t that ridiculous? I had a printer but barely used it because of the expense. I certainly didn’t dare print pictures because I’d need that extra expense of a color cartridge and assumed printing photos would use a ton of ink.

While out on tour, Kodak is giving American families the opportunity to learn about and test their latest All-In-One printers and learn tips on how to save on printing and ink replacement costs (yay!) I was sent one of the printers that will be out on tour (it’s a rockstar!), the Kodak ESP-5250 All-In-One Printer. This printer has so many great features that completely trump my old printer. First, it’s wireless which means I can easily print photos from my laptop! Even printing documents from my laptop was a pain for me because I’d have to email it to the desktop computer, or put it on a flash key. Second, the large (2.4″) LCD screen makes it easy to choose which pictures I want to print. There’s no need to have this printer connected to a computer – since everything can be done wirelessly or with a memory card or flash key (great feature for pictures, pop the key in and then scroll through the photos on the LCD screen). I read that you can also print pictures wirelessly from your iPhone or iPod Touch using the KODAK Pic Flick application from the App Store. Of course, with the All-In-One Printer, you can also scan photos (I scanned in my son’s picture with Santa last night and it’s now on Facebook) and copy documents too.

I also have to note how easy set up was – Kodak includes everything you need including of course a Black Ink Cartridge and Color Ink Cartridge, a Paper Sample Pack, all necessary cords and software. When it does come time to replace the ink, I’m not going to shy away from color anymore since Kodak replacement ink cartridges are $9.99 MSRP for black and $14.99 MSRP for color (yes really!)Who wouldn’t a Kodak All-In-One printer make a great gift for? Do you know someone with a digital camera and no computer? I do! My aunt uses a digital camera and would always take the memory card into a store to print pictures – a few years ago for Christmas, her family got her a Kodak Printer to print pictures at home and I thought that was such a great idea. Wireless All-In-One printers like the Kodak ESP-5250 are wonderful for people who have laptops and don’t want to hook up their computer to a printer. You can keep this printer in an office, or study, or even a bedroom since it doesn’t need to be near a computer to work – love this option!
