Green Toys from Stortz & Associates

I think Green Toys are going to be very popular this holiday season. I know they have been on my radar for awhile because I think it’s the coolest thing that Green Toys are made from recycled plastic milk jugs! The result of the recycling process is a high density plastic called HDPE which is considered to be one of the safest and cleanest plastics out there (cool huh?)We had the opportunity to check out the Green Toys Chef Set – perfect timing since my daughter just received a play kitchen for her birthday. The handles on the toys made them easy for both my kids to hold, and the bright modern colors match our play kitchen well. All the pieces are dishwasher safe which is a good thing since having real food in the play kitchen seems to be a big deal around here.

For Christmas gift-giving here’s something worth mentioning. In an effort to use as little packaging as possible, Green Toys uses recycled corrugated boxes with no plastics, cellophane or twist-ties (twist-ties are the grinch of gift-giving don’t you think?)
