Ok, summer is officially my favorite season but there’s also another season that ranks right up there and that’s Garage Sale Season! Every since I was little, I loved scouting out garage sales with my mom for precious finds (back then it was Archie comics and Barbie clothes). I love that now my 6 year old is eager to go to garage sales with me (interestingly enough, his prize finds are Archie comics now too!) We find garage sales via the newspaper or checking signs in our neighborhood.
There’s a fantastic site based in the US (if anyone knows of a Canadian one, let me know) called Garage Sales Tracker that actually lets you search by zip code for sales near you! This way you can plot out your course for the day by location, and also find out additional information about the sale (i.e. if there’s no baby items and only antiques, it may or may not be worth the stop).
Have you ever scored an amazing garage sale find? I have! Everything from jeans for me for $5 to a Care Bear Cousin that my mom picked up for $1 and I resold on eBay for $350, no lie!

i go to all the garage sales I can find nearly every saturday….I scored a brand new leather motorcycle jacket with tags still attached, worth $300, for $25!

I like garage sales>. some are great>>I have gotten some of the things I love the most at Garage sale!
One day, I was out Garage saling with my Mom and sister ( the most successful garage saler in the world)>. They exited the car as usual, as I parked. Well I ran after them and infront of God and everybody, I tackled my sister in the grass>> I think if we threee had not laughed and giggled so much they would have called the police>> thank you for making me think of that, that had to be more than thirty years ago and a delightful day!
