Do you have a commercial that comes to mind when I say “Verizon cellular”? I know I do, and I live here in Canada (we get tons of satellite stations from the US). The Verizon “this is MY network” commercials crack me up. When it comes to marketing, Verizon has a great team because their commercials are so recognizable.

I don’t know many people who don’t have a cell phone, except for my parents who are in their 70’s. Does that mean you are comparable to seniors in their 70’s if you don’t have one? That’s debatable (hey I’m not going to call you old!) but it seems like with today’s busy families, a cell phone is essential to help everyone keep in touch. In my sister’s family (they live in Calgary), both teens and both parents carry cell phones to help coordinate hockey, soccer, and work schedules during the day.
Cellular sales, of course, will be huge this holiday season and it’s hard knowing where to start. I think Verizon is brilliant branding themselves with their “network” commercials, as I call them, because they will come to mind when walking into any electronics store to begin the process of gift shopping this season.
