Thanks to the awesome people at Misikko, I was able to try out this fabulous Pink Chi Flatiron! My hair salon exclusively uses Chi flatirons and every Christmas I debate whether I should put one on my Christmas list or splurge and get one for myself. It’s smart marketing on the part of salons don’t you think?

In my quest to have fabulous hair, while being my frugal self, I purchased my first flatiron at a local drugstore for $30. Not such a good idea. Yes, a cheap flat iron will get the straightening job done but it will also damage your hair in the process.
Why is a more expensive Chi Flatiron better? The Chi Flatiron that you purchase is a professional model like the one used in salons, it’s the real deal. Further, Chi Flatirons have ceramic plates which produces negative ions (ionic) far infrared heat and will maintain even temperature all the time, seal the hair cuticle, repel humidity and lock in hair color. Unlike other plates in cheaper models (copper), the ceramic plates don’t damage your hair (of course you still need to be smart, going over and over the same piece of hair doesn’t do any good regardless of the product you use!)
