I have had the Flip Mino HD for about 10 days now and am now completely comfortable with the camcorder and its features. I was instantly in love with my Flip Mino HD because I had personalized it and therefore it’s mine and mine alone. No one else has a Flip Mino HD like mine! I used one of my absolute favorite pictures of my husband and son taken about 3 years ago.
I love new electronics (they’re my new favorite bright and shiny thing, I’m a mom and jewelry doesn’t excite me anymore!) but I’m easily intimidated by the learning curve of some products. I have had my BlackBerry for months now and have yet to install the software onto my computer or figure out how to upload pictures onto it.
The Flip Mino HD is SO easy to use so this was a huge positive feature for me. I quickly scanned the enclosed instruction pamphlet, found the power button, pushed the record button and recorded my first video with it within minutes of opening the package when it was delivered (it comes with a partially charged battery). There’s no cd software to install – the Flip Mino HD has a built in USB port that, with the push of a button, flips up and then plugs into your computer to charge the battery and upload your videos. The software automatically installs on your computer in minutes. The Flip Share program is so easy to use too! Your videos are all uploaded and easy to view and with one click, you can email a video to friends and family or upload it online. You also have the option of saving videos back onto your camcorder (I delete my videos after uploading to save room, and this way if you want to take a video with you on your Flip Mino HD you can easily grab it again).
With 60 minutes of recording time, there’s plenty of memory on the Flip Mino HD for family events and just general silliness at home with the kids. I’m so grateful to Mom Central and Flip Mino HD for the opportunity to have my own!
