My Fleur de Lys Mediterranean Fig candle from Himalayan Trading Post is, hands down, the prettiest candle I have. What a big difference a silver distressed tumbler makes instead of the usual jars for candles commonly used. The company agrees that a candle doesn’t have to be just a candle, used for scent and light only. A candle can be the focal point of a shelf, it can accentuate a bedside table or decorate a window sill. The company has had some positive growth and success since it was created in 2004. Himalayan candles can now be found in over 1000 retailers in the US and Canada.
The Fleur de Lys candles are 8oz candles filled with highly fragrant soy wax and give you about 50 hours of burning time. Soy wax burns much cleaner than paraffin wax, and it’s eco friendly too. I liked that the scents available are distinct and reminiscent of nature. There are 6 scented Fleur de Lys Tumbler candles in total: Mediterranean Fig, Honeysuckle, Prairie Grasslands, Orange Grove, Pink Peony, and Green Tea & Lemongrass.
