Mothers Stacy and Pamela are the women behind this toy distribution company based out of Seattle, and Nico & Zoe of course are the children inspiring these mamas to do the work they do. Nico & Zoe focuses on quality made funky toys that are a great value for parents.

I was sent these really cool Soy Crayon Rocks….er…I mean my son was sent these rocks! At first, I had them on the counter for a few days thinking they were meant for sidewalk play (rocks = outside in my head) but then quickly realized, duh, these are crayons (takes me awhile sometimes, people…)
The crayons each measure about 1.5″ x 1″, so they are not recommended for children under 3. Made with soy, they are non toxic which is reassuring.
The shape of the rock actually encourages a proper pencil grip (something Elijah needs to work on) and helps develop fine motor skills too. The result on paper is sort of like working with pastels, though less messy. They come in a cute little pouch for storage, and Elijah reminds me of Robin Hood carrying it around, his colored soy crayons being his treasure inside.
