Southern Brand (closed)

Normally when I write a review on a company, the first place I look is the About section, to learn more about the people behind the company. Southern Brand summarizes what they are all about, the feeling they are trying to emphasise so well that it’s difficult to reword. So I won’t. Taken from the site, Southern Brand is the rumble of a pick up truck down a muddy dirt road. Its sittin’ on the front porch sippin’ ice & bourbon, spittin’ watermelon seeds and pickin’ the blues. The site highlights their favorites in music, film, travelling and more. It’s a great resource for the best of Southern living in America (that even this Canadian prairie girl can appreciate!)

The Southern Brand store features clothing for babies and adults alike (Lil’ Ones, Southern Belle and Southern Man respectively). We were sent this Queen Bee shirt for my 18 month old diva. The shirt is so super soft that I checked the label a second time because I was sure that it would be labelled organic or bamboo. However, it’s good ‘ol 100% cotton, but the softness comes from Southern Brand’s Vintage Wash process! The shirts are printed with vegetable inks too!

My nephew was also sent a shirt – a thermal long sleeve shirt with “This Ain’t My First Rodeo” written on it. I LOVE the shirt and knew it would be perfect for this little guy (he’s a spitfire, lol). He’s already been to HIS first rodeo this Spring, so I knew this shirt would be great for him. I have to say, good looks really do run in our family, don’t you think?
