New House Cleaning Tips Needed

cleaning tips

Help!  So one week in at our new house and I’m at a loss on how to clean the appliances from the previous owners.  The flat top stove definitely has had some spillage and the fridge needs to come back to the sparkle I’m sure it has…somewhere!

I know you guys are the best when it comes to sharing tips, to please do!  HOW do I clean the stove top and fridge doors?  Please share your best tried and true tips and products (thank you!)

  • For the ceramic top of your stove use Cerama Bryte. Use it consistently and eventually you will have it looking good again.

  • Maybe a magic eraser? OHHHH you know what…There is this stuff you can get at Canadian Tire. Its in a purple pray bottle. Its called SUPER CLEAN. I promise ya that will work!

  • I think I read recently a paste of baking soda and vinegar plus a razor blade for that type of stove top. I wouldn’t quote me on that though.

  • Vileda ceramic stove top sponge is cheap..comes in a package of 2 and lasts a long time and I also have CermaBryte that I bought when I bought the stove but it is more costly. Good luck!

  • CermaBryte, let sit, then scrub off with the rough side of the Vileda sponge. For the tough spots you can use a knife or razor at a 45 degree. For the fridge I use regular dish soap to wash, dry it then rub with a small amount of olive oil to bring back the shine 🙂

  • A paint scraper (the blade kind) and vim. Takes off whatever mess is on there without scratching. Best of luck!
