Being a P&G Mom has a lot of perks. I will never run out of Olay products, my laundry will always smell amazing thanks to Downy Unstopables, and now my floors are clean enough to eat off of (just ask my 2-year-old, she does it daily!)
This month, P&G Moms were sent a Swiffer SteamBoost to try! While it may not help me prevent wrinkles, it certainly prompted me to take a good look at my floors and get them clean, like, really clean. I have floor cleaners – big appliances that get the job done and do it well – but the problem with them is that they are so big that they are stored downstairs, and so I don’t reach for them daily like I do with my Swiffer Duster, for example (ok, maybe every second day for that one!)
Yet, somehow, my floors manage to get pretty grimy just a day after they’ve been cleaned and unfortunately don’t get cleaned again for awhile. We Swiffer (yes, it’s a verb in our house!) the floors with our Swiffer Sweeper daily but to actually clean them? Every 2 weeks if I’m lucky. Ugh.
So, back to the amazing product we were sent to test this month. The Swiffer Bissell SteamBoost comes in a nice little box and does require some quick assembly before using. Once put together, you simply fill the tank with water, attach a cleaning pad, and plug it in. Here’s where the beauty is – the cleaning pad actually contains a steam-activated, dirt-dissolving cleaning solution in the pad!
I’ve used other steam mops that can and do clean with just water but I like using an actual cleaning product and am not one of those people that is satisfied that steam does the trick. I’m a germophobe and happen to love the smell of a nice clean house, floors included.
This little wonder cleans well and leaves a nice light scent behind. Plus, since it’s not big and obtrusive I can tuck it beside my water cooler in the kitchen for quick clean-ups, which I love! A product win.

We are a big Bissell family .. We have all hardwood now so our pet hair eraser is great for sucking up debris, I’d love to use a steam mop! Boys , dog and baby = is why I need one ;)…. Lol thanks for the chance!

I used to wash my floors on hands and knees but can’t any more. I now use a stick mop but I don’t feel it cleans the floors as well. I think the steam would help the floors get really clean.
Because I love my Swiffer Wetjet.. but sometimes food gets crusted on under the high chair, and in front of the litterboxes is a hellzone, and I think that this would make all the difference.

Do you ever wonder what sort of chemicals you’re putting on the floor tho? Chemicals are usually toxic. I love my regular steam mop with reusable pads. If you spill raw meat or something you can spray it separately and then clean.
To get my floors cleaner with less effort.

I have wooden floors and a 4-yr old who, I swear, spills something or drops something at each meal. This girl often reaches down and pick said drop food and plops it into her mouth.

We’ve never had a Swiffer before as I always have “hands and knees scrubbed” like my mom would say. Now that I cant physically do it and my 20 year old daughter also has day care here AND we have two dogs (one getting older and having “issues”) , I am thinking we need to switch over to Swiffer.
Anything to make cleaning better would be a blessing at this point.
