Delta Introduces Lavatory Faucets Featuring New Touch 2 O. xt ™ Technology

One of my favorite household renovations and one that always gets comments when visitors come to our house is our Delta Touch 2O Kitchen Faucet.  I did a review of the faucet back in May of 2010 and at that time both my husband and I agreed that a faucet with Touch 2O technology would be really useful in the bathroom as well.  Apparently we weren’t the only ones with that idea (so much for originality!) and Delta heard from many customers asking for the same thing.

When I was asked before the holidays if I’d like to review the new lavatory faucets from Delta with Touch 2 O. xt ™ Technology, I was absolutely on board!  My readers all know what  a germophobe I am (if you’re new here, stay awhile, but wash your hands first, k?!) so this faucet was a perfect addition to our household.

Think of all the things that may be on your hands when you touch a bathroom tap to turn it on.  Aside from the obvious that comes to mind (especially with little kids in the bathroom, yikes!) your taps could also get covered in lotion, hair products, shaving cream, toothpaste and more.  I know in my own house I was constantly wiping down the bathroom taps and most times toothpaste was the obvious product on there.

The Lahara™ faucet from Delta featuring new Delta with Touch 2 O. xt ™ Technology was easy for my husband to install and now we have an awesome tap in our main bathroom that the kids can turn on with the tap of a finger or the back of their hand.

Truth be told, they use their hands to tap the faucet to turn it on (yes, those same germy hands!) but they realize that they can turn it on with the back of their hand (or even an elbow!) once reminded.

The Lahara™ faucet looks fabulous and also helps keep my counter top clean because the kids aren’t using their hands, with water dripping off them, to turn off the tap at the handle.   They use the spout, a gentle tap is all it takes, and the excess water goes back into the sink.  Love it!

We can also save a ton of water if we remember to turn off the tap while brushing our teeth, shaving and more.  Just a quick touch makes it so much easier to turn off the tap, as silly as that sounds.

Plus, it’s another great convo piece in our household. 😉
