It’s Thanksgiving day here in Canada and naturally that makes us reflect on what we’re thankful for, though it’s something us moms often think about. We protect our families like lionesses and all it takes is one tragic news story to make us grab our kiddies a little closer, nuzzle our faces into their hair, and hug them extra right – remembering how fortunate we are.
Through the month of October, Seventh Generation is doing a beautiful thing. The Diaper Donation program is giving moms across Canada the opportunity to donate a package of Seventh Generation diapers to a woman’s shelter in a community across Canada every time they purchase Seventh Generation diapers for their own family. The list of women’s shelters that will be receiving a package of diapers every time a mom buys one across Canada is listed here.
Cool, huh?
Seventh Generation gave me a unique opportunity to experience the power of moms by sending me 4 packages of Seventh Generation diapers to give to a local charity or group in need in my own community.
Due to the nature of my husband’s work, he suggested a group that could definitely use the diapers and this holiday weekend we donated the 4 packages of diapers to Victim’s Services in our community. Obviously, when Victim’s Services come into a family’s life, it’s not a good situation so it felt good knowing that we were able to help out families and the people working for this organization by giving them diapers to use during a very tough time.
Yup, I had that warm fuzzy feeling this Thanksgiving weekend! Thank you Seventh Generation for that opportunity (isn’t it beautiful how giving to others can make us feel good?!)
