The boosterPOD from Prince Lionheart is an item I have had my eye on for awhile. Admittedly, the option to have a booster seat in my favorite pink/brown combo is what initially drew me to the product but then when I learned it was made by Prince Lionheart, a well known company known for quality and functional products for infants and toddlers, I wanted it even more.
In our new house, we have a formal dining room for the first time. Our awesome highchair is the perfect height for our bar-height table in the kitchen but I didn’t want to be rolling it back and forth between the two rooms.
Still, Nevaeh is a tiny little sprite and isn’t ready to sit on a chair by herself yet. The boosterPOD from Prince Lionheart is therefore perfect for us!
I like that the Prince Lionheat website displays photos of the boosterPOD being used by children of different ages. Just because you need a booster chair, it certainly doesn’t mean you are a baby and the chair doesn’t need to look like a piece of baby furniture to be functional!
I think the fact that there’s no tray with this boosterPOD is what makes older children more likely to try it out – it doesn’t look like a baby seat (and the babies who do use it simply won’t care).
The first thing we noticed about the boosterPOD when we pulled it out of the box is how soft the materials used in it are compared to other booster seats. The base (the brown part) is hard plastic but the seat itself and the back (the colored portion on the boosterPOD seats) is a soft plastic that you can actually squeeze. I think this seat is 100x more comfortable for little ones than the rigid plastic booster seats I’ve used in the past and this is a definite huge advantage.
At 2.5 Nevaeh will be using the boosterPOD for quite awhile, and because it looks so stylish and modern I don’t mind it at my dining room table. In fact, I quite like the look of it and have been asked by visitors where I got it (use the Store Finder link on the Prince Lionheart site to find a store near you!)
