The new spring styles from See Kai Run are now available on the site and in stores – have you checked them out yet? While we’re not exactly running in the grass here just yet (thruthfully it’s still snow covered but melting fast), there’s no way I could wait until the pavement is dry to start looking for cute spring shoes for my kids.
One of the new styles, Ashley Maija seen above, is a big sister version of the popular Jackie shoe in the Smaller collection. If you have two daughters close in age, this pairing of shoes would be adorable for Easter photos!
Sandals can be tricky for kids because active kids who run and play and sweat in their shoes inevitably can get blisters from cheap materials. The buttery-soft leather that See Kai Run uses in their shoes helps ensure comfort when worn with bare feet. They even have a padded collar around the ankle to avoid blisters there too!
For the spring/summer 2010 collection, See Kai Run is proud to share that they have improved their shoes even more! “We’ve paid attention to customer feedback and have responded with improvements that will make our shoes even better,” says founder Cause Haun. “While See Kai Run has always prided itself on creating flexible, supple shoes healthy for developing feet, the trade-off has been using leather that has not always worn as well as we would like. Our new leather has twice the fiber strength of the original, but doesn’t sacrifice the luxurious look and butter-soft feel our customers love. We’re so pleased to roll out this major improvement!”
We checked out the Ashley Maija sandals from See Kai Run, and are now ready for Easter photos! I find See Kai Run sizing to be generous, my 2 year old is just coming into a size 7 and these 7’s are a little big on her. Because of the hook and loop closure and ample velcro on the side, I can secure the sandals a little tighter to ensure a better fit until she fully grows into them.
