My girls, now 13 and 9, have had Our Generation dolls since about 2014 (I looked back on the blog to see) and because the dolls, accessories and such are all the same size as other brands, you can easily integrate My Generation dolls and accessories with other brands and build an entire world to play make believe and grow with them.

Some dolls come just as the doll itself, others come with a theme and some accessories as well. Beyond the dolls, of course, you can also find Our Generation Fashion Sets, Pets and Accessories, so there’s always something new to add to your collection.

And, important to note, Our Generation dolls have dolls that look like little girls and boys in Canada. Thinking back to when I was little (wayyy back), I can only remember Cabbage Patch dolls being the only brand that had dolls without white skin. It’s bizarre to think about kids growing up without dolls and other products that reflected themselves and their own lives.

Beyond reflecting what a child sees when they look in the mirror, I think it’s important to introduce dolls that DO look different than that. Again, if you’re shopping in store or online at Toys R Us you’re going to find a huge collection – and if you’re shopping for someone who is already an Our Generation fan, I think it’s a great idea to add a doll that may be different than the usual ones others may buy for them.
