Say Hello to Cubby!

We have a new family member in our household. furReal Pets has a new toy to share, and we were sent our own Cubby The Curious Bear to check out! Cubby, according to the documents sent with him, was born November 7th. His talent is following his nose, and his favorite snack is honeycomb. furReal Pets are known, of course, for being interactive but there’s just something about Cubby’s size and mannerisms that makes him easy to plop on my hip when my daughter hands him to me and yes, we’ve even called me Grandma (personally I prefer Baba) when I’m carrying him.

Yup. I carried around a furReal Pets interactive toy named Cubby the Curious Bear like he was a grandbaby. Thankfully, he seemed to like me and even more thankfully, that’s all the grand-parenting I plan to do for many many years!

Our youngest, Everleigh, is 8 and was thrilled to receive Cubby The Curious Bear on our doorstep a few weeks ago. We shared our initial unboxing on Instagram stories, which you will see as part of her full video review shortly. Once we unboxed, the review began!

Everleigh, to put it mildly, adores Cubby. He is definitely her favorite furReal pet, most likely because of how cuddly, interactive, and fun he is! Cubby is always eager to be picked up and hugged and even hugs you back (it’s soooo cute when he hugs you!) With moving eyes, nose, and mouth, his face is so expressive and really engages your child in the back and forth babble of communication he uses. In nighttime mode, Cubby closes his eyes, makes sleepy sounds, and plays one of four 5-minute sequences of soft music and sounds.

Cubby is best for ages 4+ and would make a delightful birthday or – yes I’m going to say it now in the fall – a great holiday gift this year. If your kids watch You Tube videos or their favorite shows on TV, chances are they might have already seen a Cubby The Curious Bear commercial so Cubby might be on their wish list already!
