How as your summer reading progressed, friends? Like most things this summer, it feels like it went by in a flash and all the best laid plans didn’t quite happen the way I expected them to. Still, I managed to get a few books checked off my list towards my goal of reading 20 books this year. I’d love to surpass that goal too, if I can, and the routine of having the kids back in school and sports should help me in that challenge.
Of course, having amazing people at Simon & Schuster willing to share some of the hottest new releases and critic’s picks for the summer has certainly helped me as well. At the beginning of August I picked 10 of Simon & Schuster’s top books for the summer to add to my collection and I am SO excited to read them all! Here’s what’s on my reading pile (a pile! yeeeeee!)

I’m willing to bet you’ve seen one or several of these titles online, on the shelves at Chapters Indigo, or at another store (I’m always browsing titles at the drugstore, airports or yes, Costco!) From what you’ve already spotted on your own, or after viewing the quick synopsis here, do you have an immediate MUST READ?
If you follow me on Instagram stories, you’ll note that I shared my fun reading The Best Lies a few weeks ago. It wasn’t until I was nearly done the book that I read on the back that it was more teen fiction than adult suspense, but I think that says a lot about the author and her writing. Even better? I handed it to my 11.5 year old who is just about finished reading it herself. It was nice to read it myself first to ensure there wasn’t anything too controversial or inappropriate in the book. Next up, Ruth Ware’s The Turn of The Key! I’ve read a few of her books now and can’t wait to dive in!
Again, Simon & Schuster have graciously offered my readers an amazing prize package containing all 10 of the books shared in this post!
