Pure and Simple

In the chaos of the first few months of school, I know I’m not alone when I have to step back, take a moment, and just breathe. A friend shared her calendar planner on Facebook this week – colored pens and stickers included of course – and many moms chimed in that they are in the trenches too at this time of the year. It’s just busy.

So, I’ve been looking for ways to, quite frankly, chill out more and take some time for me. Consistent, good sleep is essential and one part of that equation has been the introduction of essential oils to my bedtime routine – most specifically lavendar oil. Now, there is one extra step when owning a Nebulizing Diffuser; you do need to clean it regularly. When you think about it, you should probably be cleaning any oil diffuser regularly (the water ones make me think of mold…) so I was happy to take on the task and learned it’s surprisingly easy. Once a week you should do a light cleaning, using the dropper you get with the unit to add alcohol to it, turn it on for 5-10 minutes, pour out what’s left and you’re done. You can do a more intense cleaning monthly which again, is no big deal.
