VTech And LeapFrog Fun

“She seems like a busy girl!” is a statement that I hear frequently when Elizabeth and I are out and about. She is a little bundle of energy (and quickly uses up all of mine)! Independent play is a LIFESAVER in our house, and finding the right toys is a big part of encouraging her to play on her own!

Elizabeth and I are both so thrilled with the Bright Lights Soccer Ball by VTech! There are no tiny, finicky buttons to press – simply kicking or shaking the ball activates it’s fun lights and sounds! It is nice and soft, making it easy for her little hands to grab and hold on to. The ball is hand washable so you don’t need to worry about any messes that may find their way on to the fabric! Elizabeth will happily play with her ball on the kitchen floor while I make supper or in the grass while I weed the flower beds, which makes this toy a winner in my books!

My husband and I love reading to Elizabeth almost as much as she loves being read to! Dino’s Delightful Day Book by LeapFrog has been well used and well loved in our home and helps expose her to a ton of reading fun! This book incorporates story telling, music, numbers and letters all in one brightly coloured package! The pages are nice and sturdy, which allows her to turn them herself without me worrying about her accidentally tearing them. I’ve noticed that her hand dexterity has improved greatly since she has been working on turning pages by herself! The bead roller is a nice added touch as Elizabeth (and every other baby!) absolutely loves anything that rattles and shakes!

Being a parent is tough work, and VTech toys help me find a bit of balance in our hectic lives. Having the freedom to set Elizabeth down with one of her favourite toys for a few minutes while I accomplish something on my to-do list is HUGE! We’ve been a VTech family from the very start, and I can’t wait to see what VTech toys will spark Elizabeth’s interest and imagination next!
