Listen, I’m all for ignoring gender when it comes to things like pay equity and competitive sports. My daughter is playing her first year on a co-ed flag football team and after practice #1 I was the mama bear addressing the sing-song teasing of “you let a girl pull your flag!” (It never happened again)

But, there are certain times when gender matters and I’m going to get loud about it. When it comes to my shower, my private refuge where I get to indulge in my favorite skin cleansers, hair products and body scrubs, my husband needs to understand it’s hands-off. I have some delightful body scrubs that make my skin feel amazing and realized, upon a goodbye kiss one morning before work, that he was indeed using them too! The nerve!
