Although it seems like it was only yesterday that I was in the hospital holding my brand new daughter for the first time, Elizabeth is now nearly 8 months old! There have been a ton of changes in our life recently; I have gone back to work part time, my husband has taken over the morning routine, and Elizabeth has started daycare! While I know that she is in extremely capable hands with her Daddy as I jet off to work early each morning, I can’t help but worry… I am a mom, after all! The Mini O by EZVIZ makes it so easy for me to check in on my babe no matter where I am!
I love the look of the Mini O by EZVIZ! It has a very modern, stylish design and comes in either pink or white! We have a shelf near the crib that we set the monitor on, but don’t fret if you don’t have that option! This camera comes with a metal plate that you can mount on your wall or ceiling. Just stick the magnetic base of the camera to the metal plate and adjust where the camera is aiming by moving it with your hand! Easy peasy!
Setting up the camera was extremely simple. It took less than 5 minutes to get it operating and connected to our wifi. We have been using the camera religiously for the last two weeks and I have yet to experience any glitches or network connectivity issues. As soon as the Mini O was connected to our network I was able to easily log in and view video from my smartphone. I was very impressed with the video quality – both day and night view! Whenever there is movement in the room the camera records a little snippet of video. This feature came in handy when we lost Elizabeth’s soother in her room – we were able to look back on the videos to see where it went when she threw it out of the crib! Don’t worry about these clips taking up all of your phone storage – the files are saved within the app for one week and then self delete!
This camera also includes two-way audio that allows you to converse with your child (or spouse!) while you are away! There is a bit of a delay, but I love being able to say good morning to Elizabeth every day even when I am at work! If I could change one thing about this camera, it would be the timer. Once you open the app and start viewing, the screen will stay active for 5 minutes. Once that time is up, the screen will turn black and you need to press the “play” button to continue viewing.
All in all, I am extremely pleased with the Mini O by EZVIZ! It is a great quality, user friendly camera. What more can you ask for in a baby monitor?
