With less than one month before the expected arrival of my first child, I am in full blown nesting mode! Every nook and cranny of my house has been scrubbed and polished numerous times, leaving me without much energy to spare! When my Safe&Sound – Pan & Tilt Full Colour Video Monitor arrived, I was dreading taking it out of the box. No exhausted mama wants to deal with the hassle of precariously placing a baby monitor and plugging in what seems like hundreds of useless cords! Let me tell you, I could not have been more pleasantly surprised! Within 5 minutes I had the entire system set up and ready to use!
The pan and tilt feature made placing the monitor so easy. There was no need to manually adjust the camera a dozen times to get the angle juuuuust right – with the push of the button it was aimed exactly where I wanted it! I chose to place the camera on a dresser, but a wall mount feature is also included with this system. I absolutely love the look of the camera and monitor. The sleek design and neutral colour scheme helped them seamlessly blend in with my decor.
I was very impressed with the quality of the picture and audio through the monitor. I could clearly see and hear everything that was going on in the crib, which definitely helped to set my mind at ease for once the baby arrives. The night vision works like a dream and will be a big help to me during those middle of the night wake-ups. This system also features two-way audio, a temperature sensor, and the option to add up to 3 additional cameras, which will definitely come in handy once our baby is able to move about her room or we decide to expand our family!
The VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor has 1,000 feet of range, which is more than enough to ensure that I can hear and see what is going on in the nursery from every other room in my house. Nothing makes me feel more content than knowing that whether I am asleep in my bedroom or out on the back deck enjoying a glass of iced tea, I’ll be able to keep an eye on my sweet baby!
I would definitely consider the VTech Safe & Sound Video Monitor to be a must-have item for any new mom. All of it’s easy to use features have given me such peace of mind for once my little one arrives. In my opinion, there’s nothing more important than that!
