LEGO City of Tomorrow Giveaway

wm

Canada is celebrating its 150th Birthday this year and LEGO is encouraging Canadians, young and old, to celebrate with a pretty fun program, packed full of imagination, fun and prizes!

Introducing LEGO City of Tomorrow, a nation-wide program that will inspire kids to think about what will make Canadaโ€™s future cities better, brighter, and even more fun. Whether itโ€™s a super tall building with a landing pad on top for a spaceship, a
park with a really, really, long picnic table that everyone can sit at and make new friends, or a robot that can take 100 dogs for a walk all at once well… it belongs in the LEGO City of Tomorrow!

LEGO

I have joined the build as an official Lego Builder – I have an ID and everything! My kids are excited to dive into their bin (a Rubbermaid Tote works well for Lego) and create some amazing city landscapes with this theme. Since having my first child in 2004, LEGO has been a part of our household ever since he was old enough to manipulate the pieces to start creating. With two daughters to follow, LEGO continued to be a part of our household, and while the creations changed somewhat from fortresses and video-game inspired builds to houses and castles, the fact that LEGO is perfect for both boys and girls makes it an easy go-to for birthday and holiday gifting. You can always increase the LEGO collection!

On April 8th and 9th, select Toys R Us locations across Canada are hosting LEGO City of Tomorrow Events where kids are invited to come in and build together!

All builders will join the LEGO City of Tomorrow construction crew with their very own, super official, ID badge. They will then be briefed in a unique LEGO virtual reality experience, led by the LEGO CITY OF TOMORROW mini figure foreman. A giant build table will be set up in each store, stocked with thousands of LEGO CITY bricks so kids can bring their ideas to life.

In the centre of the build table all creations will be combined into a giant LEGO City of Tomorrow – with one idea being added at a time. At the end of the weekend each store will have created their very own LCOT. Check the site here to see if a location near you is hosting the event!

Whether you’re near a location or not, you can still be a part of the LEGO City of Tomorrow fun, and enter to win big! Simply use your LEGO at home to build a City of Tomorrow themed creation. Then, take a photo and submit it online along with the entry form at the CONTEST link, and you could win a Grand Prize trip for 4 to Ottawa! There are also secondary prizes to be won too!

Plus, we have a giveaway for Feisty Frugal & Fabulous readers too, check it out below!

lego prizingOne of our readers is going to win a LEGO City Building Set like one of the ones seen in this photo, with a value of approximately $129 CDN! Save it for a rainy Spring day or open it up immediately to get building – it’s up to you!
