Monday, February 20th marks Family Day for those of us in Alberta, Saskatchewan, Manitoba, Ontario, Nova Scotia and PEI! Marked as a provincial holiday, here in Saskatchewan it also becomes part of our winter-break week (yes, we’re lucky!) With the week ahead wide open for activities and ideas, and the weather here in Saskatchewan being absolutely beautiful, you may be planning to get outside and thoroughly enjoy some winter fun.
In that case, Sport Chek has you covered – literally!
Right now, and only until Monday February 20th, almost all winter jackets and pants on sale or clearance priced are 50% off the in-store ticket price! This is the optimal time for parents to purchase winter-gear for next year for the kids (that’s my plan!)
This Firefly Drake Kids Insulated Jacket is clearance priced at $64.88, and your best selection for style and sizes is going to be in store. Ranging in size from S – XL, this jacket would even fit my 12-year-old (size L is about a size 14 according to the Firefly size chart on the site).
I also found an incredible price on this The North Face Arctic Women’s Down Parka, at $200 right now! Of course this is just from peeking online, I plan on heading to a Sport Chek location this weekend to get the best selection!
If the unusual February warm weather here in SK is leaving you unprepared, Sport Chek has you covered for that too! Take your kid’s wardrobe from winter to spring with items like this Under Armour Girls’ Favorite Fleece Hoodie ($49.99) – how perfect that this one is in my daughter’s favorite color!
My son lives in fleece hoodies for three seasons, so this Under Armour Fleece Storm Twist Highlight Kids’ Hoodie ($59.99) would be a perfect pick for him this spring. True story, this week while dropping off my kindergarten student at lunch I saw both my son and my daughter outside in 6 degree sunshine without jackets on (argh!) It’s time to make the move to hoodies in weather like this; that is, until it switches again and we’re back in the deep freeze – this IS Saskatchewan after all!
If you’re ready to get out there for Family Day (and in Saskatchewan, the week ahead!) Sport Chek has some great prices on Snowshoes right now – they’re on clearance! Priced at $83.99 these McKINLEY Men’s Drift 30 Snowshoes are a great buy. Noted as being perfect for a beginner as well as a pro, these would be a great pair to get you started. Of course, there’s several other styles on clearance as well priced between $83.99 and $111.99.
You’ll also find clearance prices (minimum 30% off) on Alpine Ski & Snowboard Equipment. Equipment includes: Alpine Skis, Snowboards, Boots & Bindings. Again, your best selection will be found in-store (though online is great for window shopping ahead of time!)
Need to find a Sport Chek location near you? Use this store locator link to search!
We want to give you a head start to your shopping! Enter to win a $50 Sport Chek Gift Card over the Family Day long weekend, and we’ll get it shipped out to you next week! Contest closes Tuesday February 21st – good luck everyone!
