We’re at the end of June, the official potty training month. I know all parents wish that potty training was a month-long process as well but for many that’s simply not the case. With starts, bumps, restarts, regression and sometimes simply giving up to wait awhile longer, potty training is something that will eventually pass. It will be over eventually, parents.
Earlier this month I shared some potty training tips to help give you or a friend a head-start in training, with the help of Kandoo. Having useful, kid-friendly products ready certainly helps in the potty training process and beyond.
With three kids in our household who have all gone through that process, we still use Kandoo products in our household because they are so kid-friendly. Not just for potty training, Kandoo products are part of our kid’s lives.
Here’s your chance to win a Kandoo prize packaged valued at $150. Inside you’ll find:
- Flushable wipes
- Boogie Wipes
- Kandoo Body Wash
- Kandoo Hand Wash
- Boogie Mist
- Kandoo Bubble Bath

I’ll be starting the training next summer! Hoping for an easy success 🙂
Be patient!
Stay positive, make it fun and be patient!
Be patient and don’t push them ,wait until they’re ready
Have a little treat jar for successful potty trips!
Don’t stress about it…let it happen when it happens.
My tips are lots and lots of patience and lots of praise, plus little treats don’t hurt either!!
Ugh, I wish I had one. I’m finding potty training pretty stressful, my son has ZERO interest whatsoever. I’ve tried everything I can think of and had no success. 🙁
We used the rewards system using smarties.
lots of patience, making each time a positive experience, each child is different.
My kids were completely different at potty training. I don’t have a tip that works for every child, but try to make it fun and exciting for them.
Just be patient as all children are different
lots of patience
Don’t do it before they are ready. When they are ready it goes fast!
We used a chart and bought her pretty underwear.
lots and lots of patience
Have patience
cheer when they actually go. Make a big deal of it. Just like you just won the lottery!
My best tip would be to remember every child is different and to be very patient.
Patience is a must. I put off starting our potty training a little longer than most people would, and it went smooth, stress free, and such a positive experience. Totally opposite from what it was like with my boy years ago…..
lots of little rewards, like raisins, stickers or m&m’s!
Patience is key. Having a reward chart where the child gets to put a sticker on the chart helps too.
Be patient!
patience and no two children are the same, so don’t compare
Just be patience. Once the kid is ready, you will find that the whole process is very quick, fast and easy. if you try to start the training without the kid being ready, you will find it very difficult and will make the kid scare and it will take even longer for potty training
We haven’t started potty training yet so I have no secret tip that’ll blow you out of the water but I do completely agree with your that routine is key. I would like to start him out during the summer and stick to a plan 🙂 Wish us luck! Thank you for a great prize pack!
Don’t push. It will happen, and every child is different.
Read potty books to make it fun and interesting.
My potty training tip is patience
Have patience is the best tip – it will happen, eventually!
You can’t force them. Kids need to be ready. When my son had an accident, we’d give him wipes and he’d have to clean himself up
I will be starting in the spring do not sure yet
Be patient! My daughter has been potty trained since she was 2 and still has issues with holding it until she’s near a bathroom.
We give the kids a little treat every time, bribery was the only thing that worked lol
Be patient with the little ones. They will go when ready.
Keep a lot of patience because it can take a lot longer than you would like!
My tip is to be patient and start early.
definitely a congratulations for trying and maybe a treat at the end of the day. i also let her run around without diapers and with the potty near by .
put them in regular underwear so they can feel the wetness & be patient
vinegar is great non toxic way to wipe up urine again and again and again
Stickers and a “Potty Bag” full of stuff you get in the goodie bag section. As they get scattered around the house we would just put them back in when she wasn’t looking. Reward system all the way!
Be patient, when they are ready it will happen.
Be consistent, even when travelling and make sure the child is totally ready before starting!
Take your child shopping and let them pick out their big girl or big boy pants and then throw out the diapers. Don’t switch them back and forth from training pants to diapers because it confuses them. Just put them in their training pants and there will be a few accidents but gradually they will catch on if they are ready.
My tip is to have patience and lots of it. Don’t push your young one, they will do it when they are ready.
sit her on the potty all the time and patience is key
My tip- wait until they’re ready, it’ll make it much smoother!
Be patient! If you have or know an older toddler that has mastered the potty have that toddler show yours!
I waited until my son was ready and then it only took one weekend. I used positive reinforcement and it worked real well!
We found that a sticker chart worked really well for us.
Reward them with treats
You have to be very patient. And put her on the potty often.
My tip is to wait until te child is ready. if they’re not catching on take a break for a few weeks and come back to it when they’re more receptive.
Look for cues of readiness from your child like waking up dry from naps.
the only tip that matters is to be patient. It takes time – sometimes a lot of time. Be consistent and they WILL get it!
Have a lot of patience and have a great attitude.
watch for when your child is giving cues on when they want to use the potty.. and go with their pace!
We are a ways from potty training but I’ve always read that cloth diapering helps a child potty train sooner.
Be patient, very patient.
I went into potty training knowing it most like won’t go the way that I planned it. I would let them go without a diaper during the day and had a potty in the living room and bathroom. It helped that I was a stay at home mom and was there all the time to look for the signs when they ‘gotta go’. I would also put them on the potty first thing in the morning to help them get used to that first morning pee! 🙂
My tip is to introduce the potty before training and let them play with and get used to it.
be patient, very, very patient!
Don’t force it, they will go when they are ready.
Just wait until they are ready and I they will learn faster.
Let them go nude!! Both my girls learned super quick. I let them run around the house and if there was an accident it got everywhere and they helped clean it up! They learned super fast to go in the toilet 🙂
Children learn at their own pace. Be patient, give lotsa praise!
We are going through potty training right now, still won’t go number two on the potty 🙁
