My belly has always been my ‘problem area’. Let’s just say I have my dad’s body. Add two babies to that and, well… you get the picture!
Recently I was given The Flex Belt to try out in return for an honest review of the product. I jumped at the chance. I have always been intrigued by the Flex Belt; mostly by its advertising and celebrity testimonials (hot mom Denise Richards to name 1). I was especially excited to have the opportunity to try the Flex Belt for free… at $199.99 this wasn’t something I would ever have the guts to spring for (no pun intended).
One positive upon opening up my Flex Belt was noticing it comes with a 2 year warranty, which is a pretty generous amount of time. It looks and feels like it is good quality and well manufactured. It also promises results in 60 days or you can return and get your $199.99 back. So you wont be out the cash should you hate it.
What I like about the Flex Belt is the idea I am getting an ab workout without straining my lower back. What I don’t like about the Flex Belt is it is still a somewhat uncomfortable process. The Flex Belt works by statically stimulating the abdominal muscles. These little electric pulses cause the muscles to contract, in turn burning hard to target fat.
That process isn’t overly relaxing. I compare the feeling to harsh menstrual craps. While the Flex Belt touts being a device you can do “anywhere, anytime”… I still have to set time aside to use it. This isn’t something you are going to put on and watch a movie in. I find it somewhat uncomfortable.
I also highly recommend following the directions and ‘guidelines’. My own fault – but I began using the Flex Belt on a level that was too intense for me, and it actually made me feel a little unwell. This is a device that should be taken seriously. The Flex has been cleared by the Food and Drug Agency, however, no information from the same about how effective it is.
While I won’t be providing any personal “before and afters” – there are plenty available on www.flexbelt.ca. I have been making a conscious effort to take better care of myself overall, and have noticed a difference in my abdominal area. While I attribute much of that to healthy eating, I feel the Flex Belt has helped me along. It has especially made me more aware of my core and posture while wearing it. That in itself has helped me tone up.
If your tummy is a problem area, it is a product worth giving a try. The money back guarantee is encouraging.
My stomach is my problem area. I did my first Pilates class yesterday and I am already feeling the pain in my abs.
After 3 boys in 3 years, this would be great!
My tummy is a problem area. I have tried pretty much everything I can think of but to no avail. The flex belt sounds interesting.
Interesting! My tummy is my problem spot.. Ive been trying forever to work on it
I am so skeptical of these kind of things
Im skeptical but this looks cool
I would love to try one of these! I don’t know if I’d gift it though in case it doesn’t work for that person!
Sounds interesting. Not sure its for me though
I’ve seen this device and to be honest I didn’t think it would work and it is expensive for my budget. I would love to try it out though just to see if it would help my belly area.
I’m always a bit skeptical when it comes to devices like this but it does seem interesting. Something that I will definitely consider.
The flex belt sounds interesting.Thanks
that is where I have all my problems. Ive seen these things at “as seen on tv” stores always wondered if they really worked. they are quite expensive.
Oh my goodness this thing seriously intimidates me! Also, I must say, the commercials on YouTube are quite annoying! Haha
My tummy is my biggest problem area. I would sure give it a try!
I would love to try this!
I wouldn’t mind trying this out. I have gained a bit of weight lately and I am afraid its a bad time of year to do so with the holidays coming up… This might be worth a try!
Great belt, I wish we had this before, my belly looked mu ch better.
omg i love this idea im 55 and things are not where they should be
sounds good but would have to check into it further; could use it for my stomach.
I wonder if this would work as well as it says, I could use it for my belly
