Lately, social media sites have been filled with users creating their own comic strips using their own likeness. Ritz decided that comics needed a little bit more fun added, and so, they created Ritzmations and asked me to be among the first to test it out and help launch it for Canadians!
I have to admit, I haven’t gotten into the comic strip craze. I suppose I blame that on being a busy mom. And so, I spent a lot of time playing around with Ritzmations because mama had to do it for work, kiddies!
You start by choosing your comic strip background, with scenes ranging from the moon to a farm yard, there’s plenty of story to be told.
Then, you can pick your characters. The cool thing is that new characters and scenes get added every so often, so you can come back and see what’s new, and perhaps even continue the story where you left off after your first Ritzmation.
I feel in love with The Dragon Queen because, well, hello she’s the Dragon Queen! Once I had my main character picked, I decided Sir Ritz A Lot would be a good addition to the comic strip, though perhaps adding in someone like Rasta Rob could have twisted my Ritzmation up a bit!
By linking up your Facebook account, you can then add your own face to a character of your choice, and then begin adding text. It’s that easy! The hardest part is figuring out the dialogue! The text space is limited so you have to be creative to get your point across.
I think I got my point across.
You can check out my full Ritzmations here and then jump in and make your own! Let me know if you do by sharing it here or @ me on Twitter (@FeistyFrugal).
