Mooshka Fairytale Girls

mooshka-logoLife when we grew up was a simpler time.  We spent more time in imaginary play and more time outdoors than our children do.  I have clear memories of playing with paper dolls – the ones that came in a book that you punched out on the perforated lines and then dressed with punch-out clothing as well, provided you didn’t accidentally rip a tab off making it impossible to keep the clothing on the doll!

When I heard about the story behind Mooshka Fairytale Girls, it took me back to that time of paper doll play.  Mooshka were once paper dolls, until one day they joined hands and through the power of friendship they became sweet, huggable girls!  The dolls are available in different themes, with Fairy Tales being the latest.  We received one to check out (with two girls wanting to fight over her!)

No teenage-clothing.  No makeup.  No wildly colored hair.  All of those features certainly have their place in dolls on the market, but it’s nice to go back to a simpler theme and child-look dolls for your own children.  They can be played with all day and then snuggled with all night because they’re fabric, no plastic pieces at all.  This also makes them machine washable which is a great feature after of course being played with all day and snuggled all night.

The adorable part? They have velcro hands so they can attach to one another as well.  I may need to look into that for my girls, non?

Look for Mooshka dolls at Toys R Us, Walmart and Sears stores in Canada!
