I have been a fan girl of (and had a girl crush on) Tegan and Sara for about 15 years now! 15 years! The photo above was taken sometime in 2000 when they came to The Exchange in Regina to perform. The Exchange is the perfect venue for small bands allowing you to get up close (ahem, closer) with the performers and nothing can beat that.
Fast forward to 2014 when Tegan and Sara are at the top of the pop charts (back in 2000 they were still playing acoustic sets!) and walked away with Junos for group, pop album and single of the year! It’s no wonder the performance on Sunday night had me clapping and smiling like the fan girl I am!
And…and…here they are performing Pink’s “Just Like A Pill” at Billboard Women in Music with a great into by Sara. Because, well. Because.
I love Tegan and Sara, I remember i found them in the early 2000’s too back when I lived in England. Great memories! 🙂

I’ve seen them every time they are in Toronto (except 1 sad day) and met them as well.
Love them. Love their indie alternative stuff and love their new pop sound too. Bands should progress & grow! <3
Agreed! I love their older acoustic stuff just as much as the new – and am happy they are finally being embraced as much as they are – years of hard work paying off!
