Now THIS is something new in nail polish. Nicole by OPI “Roughles”… a spring palate of ‘pretty rough’ pastels!
I recently gave a mani to my adorable tween neighbour, Kennedey. She loved the collection! While the colours are fresh, flattering and springy… what really sets this collection apart is the finish and texture. It dries to a speckled, pebbly finish that requires no top coat (its matte)!
If you haven’t noticed by now, pastels are a huge trend for spring/summer 2014. Combine these colours with the textured matte finish… and this collection is right on trend.
Shades include:
I’m Stucco On You – this is the lilac shade I used as the main colour on Kennedey’s left hand. It was her favourite of the 4 shades.
Rock the Look – this pink was the accent nail on the left. It is very classic and pretty, but perhaps doesn’t show quite as much ‘speckle’ as the others.
On What Grounds? – the main colour used on the right hand. This aqua tone was yummy, it reminded me of candy. It also paired perfectly with our accent nail…
Sand In My Shoe – a yellow that is actually complementary to every skin tone! It is creamy and speckled with bright orange. Kennedey wasn’t too keen on it in the bottle… but once we got it on the nail… we both loved it!!

These are so adorable, I’m going to have to try them out, most likely the yellow. Even though pastels are nothing new for spring, these are so interesting!
