Going through an old photo album this past weekend, I found this photo (a favorite!) of myself, just 3 weeks old, with my big sister Kim.
At 12, she was the youngest in our family (my other siblings were 15 and 16) until adorable me came along. Thankfully, she took a liking to me and I to her – and from day one she was my person.
And still is today.
I briefly shared my sister’s fight against cancer on a blog post around the holidays, and I’m happy to share that she is now cancer-free. Which is a beautiful and very good thing because – as you can see – I kind of can’t see my life without her in it.
Nice to have that special bond. Glad she is cancer-free.
Very sweet! 🙂 So happy to hear the good news!
Wow – that is so sweet. I miss my own sisters a lot – they live across the country and it’s been a couple of years since I’ve been back home. So glad to hear she is in recovery!

That is wonderful, great news that your sister is cancer free 🙂
That’s so cool. I was the youngest of my family til I was 15 when my lil bro came along. We’re pretty tight still, more so now that he’s grown up now. My 2 daughters also have a 12 year age difference…hoping they work out good in the end too. Right now they’re a teenager and a toddler, so I spend a lot of time pulling my hair out 😀
I’m so glad to know that your sister is now cancer free. It is wonderful that you have such a close bond with your sister, you are lucky. 🙂
Love how close you aare. That does not always happen when there is a large age gap between siblings.
Great to hear. I lost my sis to cancer, and my 2 other sisters also had cancer.
Throwback Thursdays are always so much fun, oldies but goodies! That is a very beautiful picture of you and your sister as kids.
