Oh how I love when OPI releases a new collection, which as we know is pretty often!  OPI knows that their fans anticipate their new collections and they never disappoint!  Almost as unique as their shades are the names OPI dubs their lacquers with.  Turning over the bottles to read them is half the fun when reviewing a new collection.

Nicole by OPI is ringing in 2014 with 14 new nail lacquers inspired by award winning country artist Carrie Underwood! This collection features a colourful mosaic of hues in a variety of finishes, including pink, red and coral crèmes; chunky and textured glitters in gold, silver and white; and rich eggplant and khaki green shades.

“Carrie is the perfect partner for Nicole by OPI. Her music evokes powerful emotions in its listeners, and we wanted to give fans a way to express their feelings through colour,” explains Suzi Weiss-Fischmann, Nicole by OPI Executive VP & Artistic Director. “In working closely with Carrie, we came up with 14 nail lacquers that truly encapsulate her soulful spirit and showcase different facets of her personality – from softer pastels and dark sultry shades to playful glitters.”

This spun sugar pink is all about fun.

Hit the road, but leave me this standalone gray-green.

I’m hooked on this deep, deep eggplant.

Do you have an immediate favorite?  I loved all the shades and couldn’t decide which one to try first.  Being that I received the collection before the holidays to review, I opted for the sparkly gold hue of Carrie’d Away.  Two coats was all that was needed although I probably could have used just one coat.  Next up this week?  Goodbye Shoes – the grey/green shade is perfect for January.

This limited edition collection will be in newly designed bottles featuring the NEW Nicole logo. These shades will be available January 2014 for $10.99 each at Shoppers Drug Mart, Target Canada, Walmart Canada, Jean Coutu, London Drug, and Loblaws.
