I have been collecting Air Miles for years. I used to redeem them for grocery gift certificates. This was great, as everyone has to eat, right? But they stopped having grocery gift certificates many years ago ;-( So, I have been saving them up for something big (not sure what). I like the new option to be able to redeem points for cash off purchases though. Makes a lot of sense.
I do collect and I’ve redeemed for toys and kitchen gadgets, used for christmas gifts. Now I’m using the cash to help offset costs done for renos around the house.

Yes I collect air miles, but not anymore since I do most of my shopping at Walmart. When I used to do my shopping at Safeway (before the Supercentre Walmarts opened) I used to redeem for movie passes, gift cards for the kids, zoo passes.

We are collectors and were able to fly our daughter home from Toronto where she was studying for Xmas. Needless to say she was very happy that she wasn’t the only person left in the student’s residence over the holidays.
I’m a collector. I have been flying with Airmiles once a year for the last 5 year from Alberta to New Brunswick. The cost $250.00 for tax and travel insurance. 1 year my husband came with me and it cost us $600.00 with car rental for 8 days. This year I decided to skip New Brunswick and went to Mayan Riviera Mexico with my girl friend. 7 days all inclusive cost me $500.00 for taxes and travel insurance. Hoping to have enough for Vegas and New Brunswick next year. Unfortunately we will no longer get airmiles or any other reward when refilling for prescriptions very soon.

i do collect but i wish they were at more stores. they tend to be at ones i rarely go to. i do have a story. i normally get movie passes for hubby and I but i decided to get zoo passes the summer i was pregnant with #2. hoped it’d be another fun thing to do with #1 before i was busy with baby. didn’t make it out until dec4. 20 days before my due date. at one point from the hours of walking i was sure i was going to deliver right at the zoo. bt i managed to make it home and he waited another 13 days. i swore i’d never go to the zoo while pregnant again.

I have on numerous occasions redeemed my Air Miles for Edmonton Transit Bus Passes with another $5.00 increase to $89.00 per month – it sure helps. Especially because I also have to purchase a Youth bus pass for my son. Another Air Miles reward perk – points can be redeemed for Transit tickets.

I like Airmiles. I save them all year and then use them to buy gift cards for my family for Christmas. I especially like the times when you buy a certain amount of products and you get bonus airmiles. It is especially good if I have coupons to bring the prices down on the items as well.

We actually just got back from Florida and had enough for 3 free tickets to Busch gardens which saved us over $250…so worth it. Now saving up for Disneyland tickets.

I’ve been an air miles collector since my oldest was little. One xmas there were 2 toys she really wanted, and I couldn’t find them anywhere (small town, all the coolest toys were sold out 🙁 ) Found out there were some available through air miles, so I cashed in some points and the toys were delivered within 2 weeks to my front door. I’ve also cashed in to get movies, admission passes to Canada’s wonderland, grocery gift cards….what a beautiful concept!!
