Awhile back, one of my status updates on Facebook was a rant about my kids (specifically my son!) using wayyyyy too much of my body wash and how it drove me crazy! Friends offered various tips and advice, having been there themselves. Eventually what I decided on was this: I have a big love of body washes, lotions and hair products so I can’t blame my kids for being the same. I can, however, take steps to keep my own product out of their hands while giving them something of their own to value and take care of.
I always have body wash – when one is finished the next one is opened (a little treat for me, “Oh, strawberry today!”) We’ve started using kid-specific body wash and this has helped us a ton. The kids know the wash is theirs and when it’s gone, that’s the end of that. Regular soap for you, poor children!
Thankfully, they happen to love our new Dial Hair & Body washes that they’re doing really well on not wasting it and instead using it properly in the shower. With scents like Berry Cool, Peachy Clean and Watery Melon the kids love their washes (and their hair smells pretty great too!)
Peachy Clean is tear-free and recommended for ages 2 and up. The other two scents, Berry Cool and Watery Melon, are not tear-free and recommended for ages 6 and up. Look for it now at retailers across Canada including Walmart and Loblaws stores, for a retail price of $3.99.
Good to know! I’m tired of the same old one scented kids body wash I can find for my 3 year old!
Definitely going to have to pick some of this up. My kids are getting too old for Johnson & Johnson baby soap.
