We had been waiting for this release and received our 3D Blu-ray Combo Pack before the release date to preview! I saw this movie in the theater with my oldest two kids (8 and 5) but my husband and youngest (almost 2) had not seen it yet. I am not a fan of watching animated movies more than once, but Wreck It Ralph is one movie I could watch several times.
The funny thing is that I wasn’t into gaming as a kid (beyond the Atari system I got when I was my son’s age) and my husband recognized more characters in the movie than me. Still, it gave us both a chance to go back to our childhoods and the storyline is fun, heartwarming, and captivating so that the 108 min run time goes by so quickly that it’s over before you want it to be.
How can you not fall in love with Vanellope (a “feisty misfit”, love!) and cheer for Ralph the eternal underdog? Jane Lynch voices the kick-butt Sergeant Tamora Jean Calhoun with perfection, and the entire movie is just flawless. We immediately downloaded some fun Wreck It Ralph Apps after seeing the movie in theaters, and hunted high and low for Wreck It Ralph products when we were at Disney World in December with no luck! I fully expect a Wreck It Ralph sequel one day! I’ll be sad if this is the last we see of Vallelope and Ralph but I have a funny feeling Disney isn’t going to let that happen. 😉
