TMNT are back in a big way – my son is 8 and discovered the turtles all on his own on TV. My husband shocked him when he named off all the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles and Elijah was even more floored when his dad explained that he liked the turtles when he was a kid too. Elijah just couldn’t wrap his head around the fact that the Ninja Turtles were that old!
I remember going to a Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles movie when I was in junior high, probably because I liked a boy that was going, so while the turtles were a bonding moment for father and son, they weren’t something I remembered much about.
This new series includes the voice talents of Jason Biggs (American Pie) as “Leonardo,” Sean Astin (Lord of the Rings) as “Raphael,” Rob Paulsen (Planet Sheen) as “Donatello” and Greg Cipes (Teen Titans) as “Michelangelo.” Additional cast members rounding out this iconic hit franchise include Mae Whitman (Parenthood) as “April O’Neil,” Hoon Lee (Royal Pains) as “Master Splinter” and Kevin Michael Richardson (Penguins of Madagascar) as “Shredder.”
This DVD has a total running time of 145 minutes and includes five episodes along with bonus features. If you have a new Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles fan in the house or know someone who loved them way back when, this new DVD is available in stores and online February 26th!
