Twas the weekend before Christmas, and all through the stores…
Seems like we’re all rushing out to get “just one more item” on our list for holiday get togethers next week. I think I have been in the grocery store almost every day this week, and truth be told I’ll be at Superstore on December 24th in my hometown to grab a few extras then too.
I’ve had the opportunity to try out a great assortment of items from President’s Choice the past month or so, and here are a few of my favorites. If you’re making “just one more trip” to the grocery store, pick up one of these!
For a new twist on appetizers that includes the #1 appetizer ingedient of 2012 – bacon – try the Jalapeno Beef Lollipops.
Simple ingredients (beef meatballs with jalapeno wrapped in bacon and then skewered) create a fun appetizer that takes no time at all to prepare.
Cook according to the directions on the box, then broil at the end to get the bacon extra crispy. Serve with ranch for dipping.
Seen in the Holiday 2012 President’s Choice Insider’s Report, this PC Easy-Carve Turkey Breast Roast with Cranberry Stuffing and Gravy makes turkey easy! I’ll give you full disclosure here, I’ve never ever made my own turkey in the oven. Or chicken. I have a think about cooking a whole bird, bones and all, in my oven and can’t do it. But other people surely can and I’m happy to eat it. Weird, I know. So, when it comes to holidays when we’re at home and unable to be with our extended family (and eat turkey that my mom cooked) we usually have something like roast beef. Now? Now I can make this delicious turkey and fell like I got my turkey fix without the fuss. I’ve actually purchased and made this twice now because I liked it so much!
PC Salt-Kissed Dulce de Leche Brownie is a Recipe to Riches product (I just started watching this show, where have I been?) and this is my #1 dessert recommendation to you this holiday season!
Salted caramel and chocolate is the big thing this year it seems, and you can be oh so trendy this holiday season with this delectible treat.
This brownie is a combination of rich decadent chocolate, creamy caramel and then the perfect addition on top – sea salt to help bring out the taste of the chocolate and caramel.
My kids weren’t a fan of the salt but otherwise liked them. My husband and I devoured them and I’ll definitely buy these to keep in the freezer for guests. Just take out and thaw for 45 minutes on the counter and they’re ready to serve.
Check out the Holiday 2012 President’s Choice Insider’s Report for these and many more holiday and new year’s items for your table. I won’t even tell if you hide the box and pretend you made them on your own.
mmm, sea salt and chocolate is the best combination!
