While summer is most definitely my favorite, and I love the freedom of my pedicured feet in gorgeous sandals, there are a few reasons to like fall and winter. First, cozy sweaters – cozy long sweaters that can be worn with a great pair of skinny jeans or leggings. Second, boots! My boots get packed away for the summer months and come out in all their fabulous vengeance in the fall and winter! Somehow, sandals just can’t compete with the way a slick pair of boots can finish off an outfit. Oh, and I suppose it helps if they’re warm too but clearly, it’s all about style!
The boots above were my favorite choices from the collection of Women’s Boots at Skechers.ca! I don’t live near a Skechers store so I can’t imagine how difficult it would be to choose a favorite after being able to try them all one.
I finally narrowed it down to my favorite Skechers boot this season: Plus 3 Pyramids in grey! These boots get their name because of the hidden 3 inch wedge in the heel!
It’s a no-brainer but the website also states that you should spray these boots with a waterproofing treatment before wearing in wet/snowy weather since they’re made of a soft-suede upper and therefore need to be treated to ensure they look fabulous all season long. I did exactly that and let them try overnight before wearing.
Of course, because they’re Skechers these boots are comfortable too. You know you’re getting comfort and style with this brand and these boots are no exception.
These boots have a cushioned comfort insole and shock absorbing midsole ensuring that your feet don’t make you feel like the grinch by the end of a shopping day.
I like these boots because they’re a more casual look than what I’d wear to an event or dinner but can definitely be dressed up with a great sweater and jewelry. The hidden heel really does wonders to elongate your legs without the appearance of a heel (tricky!) and there’s just something about wearing a heel – whether seen or not – that makes you feel a little more “done up”.
