The return to school brings with it, the return to kids spending a great deal of time in close quarters with each other which means, inevitably, germs are going to be passed between them. Unfortunately, I can’t put my kids in a plastic bubble when they leave the house so I have to hope that they practice good hygiene at school, and also that the school is taking some basic precautions to keep germs at bay. I know my teacher-friends don’t want to come down with the plague either so they do their best to keep their classrooms clean and germs under control.
Did you know that germs can live on surfaces like a door handle or desk for up to 2 days? Using a product like Lysol Disinfecting Wipes on surfaces can help stop the spread of germs in classrooms (and at home too!) Lysol actually has an entire section of their site devoted to schools to help everyone have healthy classrooms, which I think is pretty cool. My readers know what a germo-phobe I am (self-diagnosed, I should print myself a certificate or something!) so anything to help combat germs gets my thumbs up!
As part of the Lysol Mission for Health initiative, Lysol maintains dedicated relationships with the Global Hygiene Council, the National Education Association, pediatric expert Dr. Laura Jana, and the CDC in order to improve the health and well-being of students and schools nationwide.
As the #1 Pediatrician recommended brand and trusted champion of killing illness causing germs for over 100 years, Lysol is committed to fighting germs and keeping a clean and disinfected classroom in schools.
Lysol provides resources to teachers and moms in the form of Healthy Habits Lesson Plans and reference guides to common childhood illness. As an added incentive, from now until September 14, 2012, teachers in the US can enter for a chance to win $500 towards school supplies for their classroom, with added chances to enter for those who submit a school supply list that features Lysol wipes. QUICK, you have to have your entry postmarked by September 14, 2012 to qualify
