These past two weeks have been spent having an awesome stay-cation at home as a family. My husband booked his holidays in the spring with no real idea of what we would do with them, only knowing that by August this mama would be ready for the kids to return to school and would likely need a sanity break!
After traveling in July and the beginning of August we decided to have a stay-cation and get some much needed work done around the house.
My husband has been busy landscaping our yard and I’ve been frantically trying to get ready for a fall consignment sale. In between all that fun, we’ve been back-to-school shopping and organizing the house and garage. Fun stuff!
Thankfully, during all that landscaping, preparing, organizing and cleaning we’ve managed to escape to the lake a few times. Our beach tent is my happy place – out of the sun, watching the kids play in the sand and my husband goofing around with them in the water.
I have all winter to clean, organize, and although we can’t landscape under all that snow we can spend that time looking back at our beach pictures. I love my happy place!
I need a beach tent. I hate the sun. Where do I get me one of those?
We got ours last year at Canadian Tire, love it!
