Ride-on toys can be a real sanity saver for parents with toddlers who want to be able to ride “like a big kid” yet don’t have the balance skills to do so.
In our family, it’s adorable to watch our youngest, 14 months, when she climbs onto her 4 year old sister’s tricycle (oh yes she does!) yet can’t do much more than sit there. She gets that it’s something to ride on yet doesn’t have the skills (or size) to do so yet.
Ride-on toys, like the Fisher-Price Little People Fixer Ride On on we were sent from Jakks Pacific help her feel like she’s one of the big kids yet she’s safely close to the ground and won’t fall far should she get distracted.
Gone are the days of the basic yellow and red ride-on toys; now you can find a variety of themes to suit every little personality!
The Fisher-Price Little People Fixer Ride On Ride On comes with a removable hand held tool box, pretend hammer, wrench, screwdrivers and saw. Little ones can push the buttons on the dashboard to hear a fun tune and sound effects too. We liked that this one could be used by both boys and girls (not so much for the princess-style ones but hey, anything goes sometimes!) and is around $35-$40 at Babies R Us.
