I’m a Taylor Swift fan – how can you not be?  Her music is sweet and sticks in your head for days, her talent is remarkable (how many artists can you think of that actually write their own music?)  and she’s such a beautiful role model for young girls (I don’t think I’ve ever seen a photo of her wearing something she shouldn’t be!)

I rarely buy actual CDs anymore but I had to get her 2008 album Fearless and had it on repeat for months in my kitchen.  One song that struck me, before it was even released, was “Fifteen”.  It so perfectly captured the feeling of that magical age – first love, best friends, walking down the hallway at school both nervous, awkward, and feigning confidence.

The song has been stuck in my head since yesterday when I opened my new bottle of Wonderstruck Taylor Swift.  Why?  Because the scent so perfectly captures the spirit of the song.  I know that Taylor says she chose the name based on the song Enchanted, but to me, it will always resonate with Fifteen.

The fragrance is light, fruity, and has a hint of vanilla (which is always a winner for me).  It’s not pretentious, overpowering.  It’s honestly something I would have worn in high school but can wear now in my thirties around my kids and not worry about them wrinkling their noses.  This, people, is my summer fragrance!
