Anyone that knows me and reads my blog knows I’m a total germophobe and there’s no surprise here that a Lysol Ambassadorship wouldn’t be a stretch for this mom!
So, when I heard about this program through the always amazing Mom Central Canada, there was no way I could say no to being a part! Free Lysol products to try with our family? Lysol news to bring to my readers? First dibs on the latest news from Lysol? I was all over that like…well, like germs on a door handle.
Speaking of which, you will always find Lysol Wipes in our household – typically one container is kept in the kitchen and the other in the bathroom. We even make it part of my son’s chores and he actually enjoys taking a Lysol Wipe and wiping down all the door handles and light switches in our household about once a week. Other areas that we use Lysol on: fridge door handle, cupboard doorknobs, remote controls, phones, keyboards and more.
If you just read that and think it’s extreme, I challenge you to consider what’s on your door handles and light switches.
So, what is the Lysol Mission for Health all about? It’s definitely about Lysol making better products to help moms everywhere protect their families but it’s also about contributing to the overall health in the communities we live in. Lysol has established a new moms program, healthy initiatives in schools (’tis a proud day when my second grader comes home sharing hygiene tips he learned at school!) a cold & flu prevention program and even disaster relief efforts. Yes, Lysol has been busy!
I just received the new Lysol No Touch Kitchen System (so great for using with a dishcloth to wipe down my counters), Lysol Healthy-Touch No-Touch Hand Soap System which we use in the bathroom (where I also have a touch tap, I’m armed for battle!) and my favorite new product from Lysol, the Lysol Fabric Mist which I used on our basement couches and toy room carpet! Genius!!
Stay tuned for Lysol product news throughout the rest of 2012 here! I can’t wait to see what Lysol has coming up next. Chances are, it will be added to my germ-fighting tool box before you can say “gesundheit!”
Disclosure: I am part of the Lysol Healthy Families Ambassador Program by Mom Central. I received compensation as part of my affiliation with this group. The opinions on this blog, as always, are my own.
I love that Fabric Mist; definitely a great new product! Our couch has seen better days what with boys jumping all over it every day, but at least it smells fabulous! lol
I just discovered touch taps and can’t wait to replace some of ours I especially love the tip on getting your son to wipe down knobs and light switches. I’m always looking for age appropriate chores and this is the perfect chore for my almost 6year old….with Lysol wipes of course!!!!
