Have you heard that it’s best to shop for a car on a rainy day? What about the old advice that you should walk into a dealership within the last hour before closing to score the best deal?
According to car industry experts, neither is true. However, there are a few tips out there to help you get a better deal with shopping for a new vehicle and, you guessed it, the end of the year (right now!!!) is one of those times.
It’s true that shopping at the end of the month can help get you a better deal Dealerships are eager to get those last few sales in to possibly score bonuses and at the very least have great figures going into the next month or quarter. However, shopping at the end of the year in December might just get you the best deal overall.
With new models coming in daily, that Dodge dealer in town may be eager to move the current year’s product off the lot and they of course want to have some awesome closing figures for the year so it stands to reason that shopping in mid-December might just be the best holiday gift you can give yourself.
So, when walking into your local Jeep dealer – hold your head up high and arm yourself with the knowledge that at this time of the year they might just need you more than you need that shiny new vehicle (but they don’t need to know how much you love it!)
