Off to BlogHer11 in San Diego This Week!

It seems like I just got off an airplane – oh wait that’s because I just did – and now I’m getting organized and packed for yet another trip this summer.  It’s funny, I had no “blog trips” planned this summer and now within 7 weeks I’ve traveled to Detroit, Toronto, Chicago and very soon to San Diego!  Being a Review Blogger/Mom Blogger means being very versatile and working with what comes your way, and sometimes the opportunities that come your way can be pretty amazing.

Take, for example, the awesome opportunity put forth by Ford Canada – they offered to sponsor my travel, hotel and conference pass for BlogHer11 in San Diego, California!  For those unfamiliar with BlogHer, check out the site here to learn more.  Every year the conference is held in a different US location and it gives Bloggers the opportunity to meet with fellow Bloggers and PR from many of the companies we’ve worked with – and some we hope to work with in the future.

I’ve already been in touch with many of my fellow Bloggers who are going to be there and can’t wait to meet many of them for the first time, and touch base with some others I’ve met before.  What a great opportunity to socialize, swap ideas at the sessions, meet PR face to face when we’ve been emailing each other for years, and perhaps have a cocktail on the beach (or at least on a patio near the beach!)

In the 2 days left before I leave I only have about eleventy billion things to do, so if your emails are unanswered please give me some extra time!  I’ll try and get the winner’s list up to date too.  If you’re going to be at BlogHer and we haven’t touched base yet, let me know!
