It’s Summertime ~ My Top 5 Summer Songs

There are some songs that just scream (or sing!) summer! Here’s my 5 favorites. =)

Bringing the true Canuck in me, a classic from Kim Mitchell in the 80’s that’s still fun to sing (give it a listen American readers, you might like it and find yourself humming it later!) The video is classic!

Another 80’s song that is on my list of favorite songs of all time, summer or not, is Don Henley’s Boys of Summer. It’s such a haunting song, same with the video…

I sort of have a thing for P Diddy ~ so out of every song he’s been a part of I’d have to say this one with the Notorious B.I.G. and Mase is my fave.

Another song from the 90’s – perhaps my favourite songs are more influenced by my bar days but this one holds it’s own through the years.

Maybe I need to move into the next century, but Len’s Steal My Sunshine rounds out my top 5!

What are your favourite songs of summer? I’m sure once I hear other suggestions I’ll realize it was a must-have that was missed! It’s evident that these songs bring me back to a carefree time in my life – probably the same for many people when they look back on songs that really stand out!
