When I was pregnant with Everleigh and discovered we were having a baby girl, I was bound and determined not to buy a boring crib bedding set from Toys R Us like I did before – this time around (presumably my last) I wanted something fabulous. Something gorgeous. Something that I’d seen in magazines showcasing celebrity nurseries. That’s how I discovered Caden Lane. The website features a great selection of beautiful boutique-style baby bedding (no teddy bears here like I bought for Elijah in 2004) and then, if you’re looking for further inspiration, the Caden Lane Blog features tons of articles about design.
Celebrities like Samantha Harris (Entertainment Tonight), Ashlee Simpson, Brooke Burke, and Tori Spelling have used Caden Lane designs in their baby’s nurseries. Simply clicking through the photos in the Celebrity Baby Nurseries section of the website convinced me this was the label I wanted for Everleigh’s bedding.
Caden Lane sent me my favorite bedding set from the site, the Ava Crib Bedding Set from the Modern Vintage Nursery Collection. This 4 piece bedding set consists of 2″ thick bumpers, a sheet, skirt, and blanket. The bumpers secure to the crib with beautiful satin ribbons giving everything a polished look. Of course, I wasn’t able to master the perfect bow tying technique like the photos from Caden Lane, but I was and am still thrilled at how beautiful this bedding set looks on Everleigh’s crib!
I admit the bow tying is making me a little crazy and I’ve tied and retied these bows several times and still can’t get it right. Once her crib mattress is lowered, I think the crib bumper will fit a lot better, and hopefully my bows will look better too!
I received this set when I was still pregnant (Caden Lane has been very patient waiting for me to share my thoughts on it!) and even when it was still in the packaging – a friend was all over it! It’s a gorgeous bedding set, and you can see and feel the quality of the product. The crib bumpers stand out because they are so thick and luxurious (the top portion is a super soft velvety-plush feel) but the little added touches like the satin ribbon ties and the satin trim on the skirt set it apart from other company’s that mass produce bedding sets for large chain stores.
The 4 piece Ava Bedding Set from Caden Lane is available on the site for $399 US.
OHHH I’m so excited to finally find out where you got that fab looking bedding!! Thnks for sharing 🙂

you picked that set out while you were still pregnant? so you knew you were having a girl then……
Oh yes, I found out at 7 months – for no other reason than I just decided at that very moment I NEEDED to know, lol! http://feistyfrugalandfabulous.com/2011/02/7-months-preggers/
